1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is a self-guided, ongoing early literacy program designed to encourage reading to babies and toddlers.
Studies have shown that families who start reading to their children at birth help strengthen their language skills and build vocabulary – two important tools for learning to read!
Any books you log for summer reading can also be logged for 1,000 Books. Click here to learn more and print out your log. Once the library reopens, bring in your log and you'll receive a free tote bag and a prize for your child.
